- Learn about different child care options.
- Once you find a program that suits your needs, call and set a time when you can interview the provider over the phone (preferably before or after program hours so you can have the provider’s full attention).
- Set a time that you visit the program with your child. Visiting a number of programs is highly recommended.
- Observe the child care setting. Watch how the children and adults interact with one another.
