SIERRA NEVADA CHILDREN'S SERVICES has been
a vital aspect of our community for over 20 years. Services
have continued to expand over the years. We are located in
the Loyalton Family Resource Center.

ABOUT LOYALTON
Loyalton Ca., at 5,000 ft. elevation, is Sierra County's
only incorporated city. Located in the heart of the Sierra
Valley, it is 45 miles from Reno and 48 miles from Truckee.
Founded at the height of the Gold Rush, many homes and buildings
date back to the early 1900's and before. Sierra Valley is
the largest alpine valley in North America and is primarily
owned by ranching and lumber families. Spring and early summer
welcomes within the flyway thousands of migratory birds who
stop off in valley marshes and wetlands to nest and follow
their flight patterns for the season. In summer, the 100,000
acre valley floor is awash with tall grasses and wild flowers.
Throughout the seasons an added bonus valley-wide is viewing
daily ranching operations and capturing the true feeling of
life in the Valley.
