LICENSING
Are you interested in making child care your career? Call

can answer many of your questions about child care licensing.
We assist individuals who wish to become caregivers through
the licensing process.
The first step in becoming a licensed
provider to attend a licensing orientation. They are held
quarterly at the SNCS

EARLY CHILDHOOD NETWORK
Members of the network are Family
Child Care Providers who want to go above and beyond the requirements
of licensing to ensure that the children in their care are
receiving the best care possible. Read More
Presently we are seeking to grow our network by bringing
in more Family Child Care Home Providers that want to be part
of this wonderfully supportive group. Please feel free to

TRUSTLINE PROGRAM
For caregivers exempt from licensure,
we assist with the TrustLine registration process. TrustLine
is a registry of license-exempt caregivers who have been cleared
by the Department of Justice. Call 1-800-822-8490 or your
local SNCS Resource and Referral office at 272-8866 or e-mail
us for an application and/or more information.
LICENSE EXEMPT PROJECT
Sierra Nevada Children's Services' License Exempt Project gives informal caregivers of Nevada County support and the opportunity to participate in educational and professional development activities related to child development.
Participants choose from 4 options: Home Visit, Health & Safety,
Training, or Licensing. Each option offers free training,
community resources, technical assistance, career counseling,

CHILD CARE INITIATIVE PROJECT
Interested in becoming a Licensed Child Care Provider? SNCS
offers a program called the Child Care Initiative Project
which offers comprehensive trainings on the business of child
care, infant/toddler development, and other helpful topics
in the field. Technical assistance in getting your
Child Care License is available. Participants who complete
the training requirements are eligible to receive incentives. Contact:
