FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER

Linking resources and advocating for and with families and community is a key role of a family resource center.


CHILD DEVELOPMENT LIBRARY

The Child Development Library consists of materials for children, children's books, and adult resource books. The library is free of charge for all county residents and is open Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. On your first visit you will need to fill out a registration form and show your driver's license. You will then be issued a library card.

FAMILY POST

The Family Post is a local publication geared towards families in Nevada County with children 12 & under.


COMMUNITY NETWORK FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES

Mission Statement:
"A healthy community atmosphere, which supports and strengthens families, ensures the well being of its children. Community Network for Children and Families, a community-based collaborative, is devoted to building a community environment full of opportunities for families and children."

COMMUNITY REFERRALS

SNCS collaborates with other local agencies to help families access the resources that best fit their individual needs. By contacting SNCS, a family can get referrals to agencies that provide a wide variety of services, such as: housing, counseling, or legal services.
