No parent wants his or her child to be without health insurance. We all know that children are injured or ill on a regular basis, and doctor and emergency room visits are beyond affordability. Still, 1.6 million children have no health insurance. In an effort to help meet your needs for health insurance, Sierra Nevada Children's Services has Certified Application Assistants on staff to assist families in completing applications for low-cost or no-cost health insurance programs. At this time, there is not enough money to serve all of the children in Sierra and Nevada Counties. As a result, we have a waiting list. To be placed on the waiting list you must fill out an Application for Subsidized Child Care.
