COMMUNITY CHEST FUND
The purpose of the Children’s Community Chest Program is to provide a discretionary fund to meet the needs of children in Nevada and Sierra Counties for which no other community support is available or when a situation requires a timely response.

A need may relate to health, transportation, enrichment and items that directly benefit the physical or emotional needs of the child. In addition, a financial allocation may be made to support a child’s participation in an activity that builds character and self-esteem such as sports, dance, etc.

Electronic Scrip Incorporated (ESI) is a California-based corporation dedicated to building relationships between commerce and community and gives resources to organizations and projects that support children.

By registering through the link on the right side of this page you will be supporting Sierra Nevada Children’s Services each time you purchase groceries for your family or purchase items from participating merchants at the “On-line Mall.” You can register any one or all of your existing grocery loyalty, debit and credit cards for use in the program. Participating merchants will contribute to SNCS based on your purchases, just by using the cards you have registered, and those contributions help us support our local programs.

Briar Patch, Raleys, Save Mart and SPD Markets all give back to Sierra Nevada Children's Services through grocery rebate programs.  By joining this program you will be supporting our local merchants and supporting SNCS each time you shop.  Please stop by the Grass Valley SNCS office to pick up your store rebate coupons and/or cards and start giving back today.

SERVICES AND GOODS (“IN-KIND” DONATIONS)

Services
Local experts/professionals may be interested in making an “in-kind” donation to the organization in the form of a provided service. Examples include:

• donating time to teach an Agency-sponsored class (parenting, life skills, finances, nutrition, etc.) and/or
• providing professional services to clients in need (health-related, legal, skill development, etc.).

Goods
From time to time, Sierra Nevada Children’s Services has a specific need for items to support its programs and clientele, such as coats for our annual coat drive. Please let us know if you are interested in learning about specific needs or if you would like to gift the Agency with any other items.

Please note that, unfortunately, “in-kind” donations are not eligible for tax-deductible status.
