"Linking resources and advocating
for and with families
and community is a key role of a family resource center"

"A family resource center is a
natural vehicle
for building a
strong healthy community"
A Family Resource Center (FRC) is a key
prevention strategy for addressing many of the challenges
that face families today. The goal of the
FRC is healthy families in healthy communities.
A FRC brings together services and activities
that build on family strengths and promote
moving in new directions for families resulting
in greater independence. This is a unique approach
for involving families in problem solving while
at the same time working to create healthy
and functioning families and communities. Learn
